So here I am in the raw. It humbles me in the most humiliating way to post myself like this. Yes I have put pictures up of me as a bigger gal, but at least I looked ok? Right? These pictures are me "real." These aren't posed or HAPPY or beautiful. They aren't perfect or to be looked at with critical eyes. These pictures are for me to view my progress as time passes and they're for you to see how much work I'm putting into this and how much time I have left to go.
So with out further ado ....
From what I can gather from my pictures here is that most of my weight thus far has come off of my chest and stomach regions. I guess you can pretty much assume that I'm getting fairly anxious to get over this STUPID STUPID cold. Seeing these pictures have completely motivated me to work harder.
If I can't see a change at 20 pounds, then I'd better be able to see a change at 40!!!
The picture on the left is from week 1 and the picture on the right was taken today at week 11.

Earlier I had mentioned I had something to "give" to you. Dan and I were talking and one of the tricks that helps motivate me is reading comments from my viewers and friends. I thrive off of the help, encouragement, and even constructive critism.
To make this goal a reality for me I need YOUR help. I'd like a personal story of when you worked diligently and achieved a personal goal of yours. If you would rather leave a quick comment you can do that as well!
I have several ways you can do this:
1. You can post a comment here on my blog!
2. You can leave me a comment on my facebook page if we're friends.
3. You can e-mail me personally and privately at my new e-mail:
With your permission I will include the most inspiring stories and comments in posts to come. If you would rather not have others read what is said to me then use the third option provided and make sure to let me know.
And what do you get in return??? Easy! Who ever leaves me a comment about this posting will recieve a FREE consultation with my friend and trainer Dan Olsen. It does not matter where you live or how much you weigh! I will get your information through e-mail and Dan can call you and give you some information (and more) about personalizing your own regimine.
Please don't feel pressured to use this great opportunity, or feel that it's an advertising ploy (but heck I love giving him a shout out anyway!) but understand this is my way of trying to get you to talk to me! :)
And with that I wish us all luck on the rest of our journey's!

Well I just wanted to let you know that I am really proud of you for posting your pictures! That is something that I would have a hard time doing. I have a goal right now to eat healthier and lose 20 more pounds to be at my pre-pregnancy weight (before both my kids) Having encouragement from others deffinatly helps! Good luck, I am cheering us both on!
HAHA! Thanks... I'm not going to lie- I'm DESPERATELY trying to not take them down!!!
OH MY GOSH NICHOLE!!!! I TOTALLY see a difference!!! You look even more awesomer! You are indeed a very brave woman to post pics...I don't even let the camera click with me in the frame! You are really inspiring me to do some thing of the same and I encourage all you 'lurkers' to write a comment for this amazing woman...this does take a ton of work and motivation, of which she is inspiring me to change my life for the better. Love you Der Der-in-Law!!!
Oh, I forgot to ask...is there a time limit on the giveaway?? I'm UBER-busy with clinicals this week but would love to share a my story even though you know it already!! Luv ya again!!!
Way to go Nichole! I can see a difference in your pictures! Keep up the good work! We are all cheering for you! Love ya!
Nicole! You are looking good!! DON'T take down the pictures.. they are great! You will be so glad at the end of your weight loss journey that you took those. I wish I would have taken pictures like that when I started! You can soo tell a difference! All the things you mentioned plus your face is thinning out and your arms too. You are looking amazing. So glad you are doing this at the same time as me because your blog is very motivating and I LOVE to read it! I also love the sense of humor you have and the hilarious pictures you add! I had to show them to Ryan the other day and he was dying! Too funny! Keep it up girl.. you are doing amazing!
Thanks you guys! :) And Erica- I don't think there's a time limit... just a limited block of time. :)
SISTER! You look great! I can totally see a difference. You look a lot more toned. Your legs look great, too! :) You should start taking side shots, as well. Casey and I do that because it's another way of seeing progress!! But like Stacy said, those pics will be priceless during your journey.
SOOO excited for you!! I love your blog. I love your honesty and your openness with everything you've been going through.
Keep it up!
I love you!
And I think your offer is amazing, I will be surely taking advantage of that! I hope others do, too!! :)
Thanks sister! Just so you (and others) know- I actually have sideways and back shots. I've got to build a little more courage (or prepare to destroy the rest of my self-respect) to post those. :) HAHA! I will eventually though!
What a hottie! :) You really look great. I wanna win this "give away" so I am going to think of a fabulous story. Does it have to be about weight loss?
NOPE! AND... it isn't a contest! You've already "won" by commenting to me. :) But I really would LOVE LOVE LOVE an inspirational story!
I was wondering when you were finally going to post your pictures. I'm so glad you did. That first picture you just look defeated...and the second picture you have a look in your eyes like, "Yeah, I can do this!" The first difference I noticed in the two pictures is your face, it has slimmed down quite a lot since the first picture. Keep it up friend!
Nicole, I see a huge difference in the two pix. So exciting! I, too, am super impressed with your success. At your top weight (picture 1) the pounds were taking over your beautiful bone structure. In picture 2, that gorgeous has returned - especially noticeable in your face. You could stop right here and feel successful. But I know you're not going to. And I know it hasn't been something you've been doing totally on your own. Congratulations to a very supportive spouse as well.
The thing about pictures is it kind of concentrates on the outward success (physical) of weight loss. But the inner success is the most important part and you can't see that in the pictures - the emotional strength, the positive attitude, and the real health benefits of losing weight are there. Kudos to you, gorgeous. Here's to the next 20!
I'm going to try to get a story to you, too.
Each one of my pregnancies is a really inspiring story. Amazing that I lived through them! But, I did with 3 kids to show for it! Hang in there! I love that you posted pics and I can definitely see a difference. We always seem to be harder on ourselves than others are!
Keep up the good work! When you reach your goal weight, I'll treat you to a pedicure!
You can do it!
Dear Gagga!
I love your pictures. I can see your sponky coming back in pic. 2.
You are beautiful, inside and outside.
Keep up the good work and call me
when you need loving-time from your Mom.
I love you, Immer Deine Mutti.
I hope that sign means a happy face. (: (: (:
I'm happy when you feel good!
HAHAHAHA! Yes mom that's a happy face! :)
